Someone.

Someone to eat with
Someone to drink with
Someone to dance with
Someone to drive with
Someone to dream with
Someone to travel with
Someone to cook with
Someone to sleep with
Someone to make love to
Someone to live with
Someone to do life with
That someone I want to be with everyday
That same someone I will love over and over again
My forever someone
My someone for ever.

To the one I lost.

To the one that I lost,

Tonight I watched a meteor shower with a boy. He was a very nice boy- more than nice, he was charming and funny and kind, and we ran barefoot under the stars to dance to our favourite song at the party, and he lent me his blue velvet jacket and pulled me up onto the wall to sit with him. And we watched the shooting stars, and he held my hand and turned his head, and we kissed. And it was a very nice kiss. And that’s why I hated you right at that moment. That special someone.

Only once in your life, I truly believe, you’ll find someone who can completely turn your world around. You tell them things that you’ve never shared with another soul and they absorb everything you say and actually want to hear more. You share hopes for the future, dreams that will never come true, goals that Continue reading “That special someone.”

Because with him everything is more.

Find someone that makes the mundane fun. Someone that makes a trip to the grocery store feel like an adventure. Someone that can turn the most boring day into an exciting one.
Date the boy that you’re counting down the hours to see, even though you don’t have any plans. Even though you’re probably going to end up sitting on the couch, munching on whatever snacks you can find inside of the cabinets while Netflix plays on the television.
Date the boy that makes you think staying in and drinking beer is just as much fun as being in a crowded bar. The boy that makes you think that cuddling on the bed and watching a movie you’ve seen a million times before is just as exciting as any other Friday night plan.
Date the boy that you’re excited to sit down with and talk to about everything, even if it’s not all that interesting — about what happened at work, about the book you just read with a shitty ending, about the stories that your friends told you the other night when you went out for drinks.
Date the boy that you can sit in silence with, but feel still comfortable, because your hand is inside of his and your head is on his shoulder. Because you feel like you’re exactly where you’re meant to be.
Date the boy that gives you a reason to laugh over the stupidest things, the boy that encourages you to tell embarrassing jokes, the boy that brings out a side of you that is rare and beautiful and unhinged.
Date the boy that makes you say, I had such a good weekend, even if you didn’t leave the house at all. Even if you barely did anything. Date the boy who can make that enjoyable, because he is all you need.
Date the boy that you can be bored with, because with him, boring is still actually kind of fun.
